Park City and Salt Lake City

My father got married two months ago in Park City, Utah. Park City is beautiful and clean and EXPENSIVE. But beautiful. I didn't really edit any pics, as they were just for us. You've been warned.

Mormon temple. I'm not Mormon, but it seemed like a must do on the trip.

Downtown Park City. The street and buildings are so perfectly groomed.

Inside the Egyptian Theatre. They have movie screenings here during Park City's famous Sundance Film Festival, created by Robert Redford. We were walking past, and really wanted to go inside to check it out. My sister-in-law is incredibly ballsy and just opened the door. It was unlocked, so we went inside, but couldn't find any light switches, so I lit the way with my flash. We couldn't really see anything interesting. It was just too dark, but made for a funny story. Breaking and entering isn't a crime if the building is unlocked, is it?

The wedding photographer, fixing LJ's shoe. She was a super nice lady and let me play with equipment. I loved her for that.

In Utah, the only place you can by alcohol is in state run liquor stores. And for this wedding in Utah, my brother, sister-in-law and I were certainly going to need something from this store. Needless to say, the liquor store was our first stop. We thought it was funny that the state controls all distribution of alcohol and you can't even buy liquor in restaurants without paying to be a "member," which basically means you can buy booze, and the fee to become a member is a tax. Weird.

Please note that the sign behind my brother says "Spanish Reds - $25 or so"

Chimay-My favorite beer - in a giant bottle. Yummy. We didn't buy that. It was mucho expensivo.

Utah Olympic Park in Park City. This is where they had the ski jump and bobsled events during the Olympics. It is now a museum documenting the games. Pretty cool.

Awesome Ski Photography exhibit. I can't even imagine carrying that camera around on skis and taking those incredible pictures. Awesome.

My sister in law looking at the Utah Mountain Range that highlights where certain Olympic evens were held.

My brother "holding" the torch.

Okay, this picture requires great explanation. At the very top, center of this picture, there is a tiny black box looking thing at the very top of this mountain. This is a building that serves as the launch point for the world's steepest zip line. Those cables are the things that people dangle from on this zip line. And we did it. 55-65 miles per hour. WHAT?? Over 100 feet above the ground. This building is taller than BOTH the Olympic ski jumps (which you can see in this picture). When you get up to the top (after a 15 minute chair lift), they strap you into this farbric seat thing and hang you from a cable. You place your knees on this mesh metal door and look out over the entire valley. I thought I was gonna pee my pants. I almost cried. Then they fling the doors open, and you're off. SO MUCH FUN!!! and totally worth the freaky ski lift ride. I hate ski lifts.
